Deploy iPad Application for Business without using App Store for download

Hi

I have read different things about how to create your own App and develop the App without App store. But I don't seem to get a right answer!

- What exactly do we need to deploy our own Application inhouse without using App Store
- How many Developer License do we need?
- How many end users can we have?
- What other things we need to consider in order to deploy our own application in iPad?

Thank you for your help on this.

You must create an enterprise developer account ($299/yr and requires 500+ employees and a Dunn and Bradstreet number). You can then deploy on as many devices as necessary... With a standard developer account, the only way to circumvent the app store is to register the devices as test devices...i'm not sure about the max number though.

Apple removed the 500 employees restriction a few months back. You just need a DUNS number now. (I know because we have an enterprise cert and don't have 500 employees!).

BTW, my company has an Enterprise App Store for deploying and securing internal iPhone & iPad apps (even with permissions by role/functions, etc).
