Q: JNLP preventing launch of Final Cut Server client

I am trying to allow multiple users to access my Final Cut Server. All of them are WindowsXP users. About half of them can download the client and use it flawlessly on their PC's. The other other half get hung up at the JNLP prompt (myself included unfortunately). My company supports JRE 6 and I am assuming it is on the computers. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Is the JNLP prompt part of JRE 6 or does it have to be added separately? Any suggestions would be appreciated as I have been trying to solve this for about 2 months now.

    Several problems we had:

1.- Explorer you are using to install the client? have to be IE 7 or better. If you can't with IE try Firefox o Chrome.

2.- If you try to download the client and you can't there should be some log with the error. A few days ago we had some problems with http error 502 saying theres is a problem with the default gateway.

3.- Uninstall thr JRE then install the latest JRE6 and then the latest QT player (in that order)

If those didn't help please be more specific about the error, problem or message.

    Best regards

    Yes.. please avoid IE.

Our problems on PCs were fixed instantly by loading from Firefox.

Thank you. Unfortunately my company is STILL exclusively IE 6 so that everyone who wants to use FCS Client has to download Firefox or IE8 (which is not supported by our IT). Oddly some people have no problem downloading it and running. I have tried every version I can find of JRSE to no avail. It always gets hung up on the JNLP. I was hoping someone had a similar problem that they had fixed.
