All of the sudden some of my apps are not opening when we access them. The screen goes black and then back to the menu screen Help! Any suggestions!

    I am having the same problem, random app crashes back to the home screen. I looked at page 144 as suggested, I guess there must be multiple versions of the Users Manual since pg 144 in mine is regarding basic info on Notes.

    Anyone have any ideas, I am to the point I reset the iPad almost daily HOME+top button till Apple logo appears and I am still getting these issues.

    I am wondering if it is because many apps have been upgraded lately, most now saying they are 4.0 compliant, so maybe they now use 4.0 features we do not yet have.

    I tried to do a C&P but it came out pretty crappy. Hopefully there are enough words here to get you to correct page on your user guide.

    Restarting and Resetting iPad
    If something isn’t working right, try restarting iPad, force quitting an application, or resetting iPad.

    Restart iPad:   Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.

    Force quit an application: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPad for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then press and hold the Home button until the application quits.

    If you can’t turn off iPad or if the problem continues, you may need to reset iPad. This should be done only if turning iPad off and on doesn’t resolve the problem.
    Reset iPad:
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    iPad Still Doesn’t Respond After Reset
    Reset iPad settings. From the Home screen choose Settings > General > Reset > ÂÂReset All Settings. All your preferences are reset, but your data and media aren’t deleted.
    If that doesn’t work, erase all content on iPad. See “ÂÂResetting iPad” on page 125.
    If that doesn’t work, restore the iPad software. See “ÂÂUpdating and Restoring iPad Software” on page 139.
