I did something bad (not sure what) and my Firefox icon is now a generic icon. Is there a way to locate the FF icon and attach it to the program again?
I tried that, but it didn't work. Because I stupidly tried changing the FF application icon to another image. Instead it changed to a generic image. So, dragging the FF application to the dock doesn't do anything.
If you launch Firefox from the Applications folder it should show in the Dock. Click and hold the icon that should now be showing in the Dock and select 'Options' 'Keep in Dock'.
To re-instate the original FF icon open the Applications folder, click on (but don't launch) FF and then do Command+I. You should get a window appear showing the icon you assigned to FF. If you click on it and then hit the delete key it 'should' reveal the original FF icon.
