HELP: cannot login as root or admin anymore after OSX update and restart

upgrading to Mac OS X Server Update 10.6.5

After restart I cannot log in anymore.
Has anybody encountered similar issue?

I'm am 1000% sure I'm using correct u /pw because I store them encrypted in a safe place.

Mac Mini Server, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

this is weird.
I can still log in using a terminal from another computer,
but not through GUI start up on the server itself.

You may have the Login Window restricted to some or no users....

Load Server Admin and Work Group Manager on a different Mac (good to do anyway), they can be loaded onto a client computer from the server disks.

In ServerAdmin, with the top item (your server) selected, choose 'Access' then look at Login Window.

Thanks Jeff!
You saved me from a daytrip to the server datacenter 🙂
After installing Server admin on my local machine, I was able to check Window login section.
As you suggested, it was completely empty!(?)
After adding my account again problem was fixed.
