Accidentally deleted iTunes library?

Hi,

I did some clean-up on my mac and found a 4.xx GB folder in my user folder under "Music" and "iTunes". I thought it was something else than my iTunes library, since I thought iTunes uses the same kind of library as iMovie and iPhotos (one big file) and this wasn´t it.

Now iTunes says for all my songs that "The original file cannot be found". What can I do?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8), iTunes 10.1 (54)

You can't. You get one download. This is why backup is so important.

From the itunes store terms of service:

"PRODUCTS CAN BE DOWNLOADED ONLY ONCE; AFTER BEING DOWNLOADED, THEY CANNOT BE REPLACED IF LOST FOR ANY REASON. YOU SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BACKING UP YOUR OWN SYSTEM, INCLUDING ANY PRODUCTS PURCHASED OR RENTED FROM THE ITUNES STORE THAT ARE STORED IN YOUR SYSTEM.
"

You can try contacting itunes support to ask for an exception.
