I searched all over the forums, and couldn't find out how to fix this... Please help.

I've run into this problem several times myself, and posted different things that seemed to fix it. Unfortunately, all of those posts are no longer available.

That said, my "latest" fix for this is to open and play a MIDI (.mid) file in QuickTime Player (via QT browser plug-in is fine too) such as this one found at Purgatory Creek's Digital Piano Shootout

Once I do that, GB launches fine.
