Nov 26, 2013 6:56 PM in response to MLovellby Analumo,My iPhone 4S was off and I couldn't turn it on again, I was really worried about it. Was all black screen and I tried many times home + power button but nothing happened. Thanks to this support page I connected the mobile phone to my MBA and then pressed again the two buttons and it worked again! I'm very pleased, cheers.

Dec 27, 2013 10:59 PM in response to apple1616by shivendramohannn,it scared the **** out of me, as it was my first iphone, i was sure of no liquid damage... one minute before i was checking notification and then i kept it in my pocket and after some some i took it out and it went black... nothing worked.... tried everything
charging, recovery... etc
so what i did was
HOLD THE POWER BUTTON + HOLD THE HOME BUTTON
CONNECT THE USB TO IPHONE (to iphone first)
AND THEN CONNECT TO PC..Hopefully the apple logo will appear...

Dec 29, 2013 7:08 AM in response to MLovellby Sorro_75,I have an iphone 4 which goes off and wouldn't turn back on unless I plug it and let it be there. The battery shows good percentage. I did a complete restore just getting my contacts and calendar from icloud. Then it did it again after the reset. Any suggestion is welcome.

Feb 11, 2014 11:58 PM in response to Lawrence Finchby lmod,Hi!
Since you have been so helpful for everyone I thought I would give you a try
My phone randomly turned off about 4 hours ago and I have tried the reset and also wall charge/usb to computer and its still not turning on.It isn't water damaged and it also isnt a faulty battery because I removed it and tried it in another iphone.
Do you have any suggestions or is it looking bad
Thank-you in advance! -
Feb 12, 2014 4:28 AM in response to lmodby Lawrence Finch,Well, since the battery is not user serviceable I would guess that you damaged something in removing it. But if NOTHING happens when you hold both buttons for up to 30 seconds then the phone is dead. If it is just a software problem holding both buttons will result in SOMETHING happening, even if it doesn't actually come back to life.
