Anyone Know How to Download the "Karma" CD by Delerium to ITunes?

Hi Forum,

I have been trying to import the CD Karma, by Delerium, to my iTunes with no success. I have had several version of iTunes, including the latest, 10.0.1.22 , but every time I tried to import the CD it just gets stuck on the first song and never starts the download.

I could have sworn I had imported this CD before, but it is not on my iPod Nano 2nd Gen now, so maybe I never did?

Anyway has anyone experienced the same problem with Karma and if so how did you fix it? I have had no other problems importing other CD's into my iTunes.

Thanks!

DELL, Windows XP Pro

Hmmm. There may be somrthing peculiar going on with the first track of that particular CD:

I'm not sure if it relates to Sony DRM though (even though it's mentioned in that thread).

Katrina, do you know if Sony is still accepting CDs as part of their DRM-recall thingy? (Nettwerk used to be part of Sony, even though the label has parted ways with them now.)

Hi Katrina & b noir!

Thanks for your responses!

I don't think it's a problem with the first track. It maybe some copy protection thing that is set-up with iTunes?

I tried importing it through Windows Media player, but had similar problems. I got a message saying it wasn't able to rip with digital mode and suggested analog mode, which didn't work either. ARGH!

How I got around all there problems with trying to import the Karma CD was this:

1. I found I had previously recorded my fav songs from the CD to a CD-R, so I could play on my car stereo from the original CD using a Marantz CDR 630 Professional CD Recorder. (What this does is allow a person to re-record the burned CD to another CD-R.)

2. I took that mix CD-R and it actually imported the songs into my iTunes library for me.

3. I then named the tracks and album to reflect what appears on Karma, though the track numbers are wrong, as they were how they appeared on my mix CD-R.

4. Got album art from iTunes store. I am able to now put them onto my iPods now!

PS. I just noticed that with the latest version of iTunes that one just can't paste the album art into the library, as they must have an iTunes account, sign-in to the iTunes store to get the album art.

No. iTunes only uses copy protection (DRM) for its own downloads.
Since it also doesn't work in WMP, it is not because of iTunes.

Pasting artwork and geting artwork are two completely separate things.
Did you RIP these files as WAV? If so, WAV files do not have tags so artwork cannot be pasted into them but iTunes scan get artwork.
