Add a "local" calendar to iPhone

One of our customers is using IBM Lotus Traveler syncing via Exchange protocol for her iPhone, and using this deletes the calendar the iPhone originally was using.

The user has a calendar on he iPhone, but only the IBM Lotus Traveler calendar (the work calendar). She wants another calendar to have for personal use.

Is it possible to add a new "On this iPhone"-calendar, or does she HAVE to sync a new calendar from a personal e-mail account or something?

With an Exchange account syncing business contacts and calendars over the air with the Exchange Server, it is also possible to sync personal contacts and calendar events direct with a supported address book and calendar app on a personal computer at home via the iTunes sync process.

I knew that, my question was if she HAS to sync to some kind of online-service.

Anyways, I found the solution myself:

Turn OFF IBM Lotus Calendar sync
Go to Calendar and create a random event
Turn ON IBM Lotus Calendar sync and choose to keep the current calendar "On my iPhone"

Done deal 😀

You friggin ROCK. Simple and easy and works perfectly. Just shut down all your other calendars....create a new calendar item....turn on all your other calendars again and choose option to keep the current calendar "On my iPhone". I spent hours searching for a solution on this and you provided a clear and simple working solution.
