Error 499

I have been getting this error for about a month now. Customer service has been no help and keep directing me to the same things over and over to try and fix this. I have done everything I can find inculding uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. Now they are saying it must be my internet connection, local network, or local computer itself. I have had no changes in any of these since the last time iTunes worked.

I have spent weeks without iTunes because of this stupid Error 499. I would get tired of searching the Apple support area trying to find out what to do for this. I deleted iTunes and reloaded it without success only to finally come across this and with one finger fix this error. Thank you dear sweet people who are smarter, friendlier, faster, & cheaper than Apple!

As a parent what I did on my 15 year old daughter's laptop was go into Kaspersky-- Parental Control--Selected my dayghter's name on the right. Then selected Web Browsing on the left. Then Exclusions at bottom centre. Then Add at the top of the Exclusions windoow. I entered http://itunes.apple.com. This worked first time. It's a pity Apple and KKaspersky can't be bothered to let everybody know this. Just in case both are required I should mention I had already entered www.apple.com in the Exclusions.
