Same here as well. The iPod app is stuck at "Cancelling sync" since upgrading from 3.2.2 to 4.2 today.
Same here! I dont need the iPod app but the video app does the same! No more video watching... Hope they fix this before my rented stuff expires...
Oh no--- my iPhone does not show my music any more 😟 Its still there - space is used.
Seeing this on both iPads and iPhones here as well. Cycled power - no change. Hesitate to do a hard reset, but may try that soon if all else fails.
Hm, will try this as well, but honestly: I don't think this helps. @Apple: Guys, you have so much money; just take a little bit and invest in beta testers. I am NOT one of them. The iPod app is one of the most essential things for me.
Amazing.. my iPad is stuck in "cancelling sync" for the iPod and videos, and after upgrading the iPhone 4 it says "no content" in the iPad app. It also shows that the music is still there in iTunes.
I had the same problem. Then it is fixed after you connect to itunes again then resync.
Are you guys sure it isn't just because Apple's servers are overloaded due to the massive number of people around the world trying to achieve the same things as us, and have their iPad, iPhone, iPod etc running 4.2.1?

Had the same problem, solution was to sync the iPad with the Library on the Mac I used to update it; it had previously only been synched with my MacBook.
I had the same problem, (I just updated) all I had to do was close Itunes then disconnect Ipad. reconnect ipad my opens itunes by automatically. That fixed my problem

I copied over a song to my iPad and that fixed the problem.
Mine too. Have tried to re-sync does not help. Very sad, come on Apple!
Same here. Re-syncing worked. Seems that the trick is to sync after the download / upgrade to iOS 4.
