How Do I Get Rid of Game Center ?

You do not get rid of game center. Like stocks, weather settings, calendar, contacts, and all other pre-loaded apps on the ipod, you cannot delete them.

You can simply not use them. You can move them to another page or put them in a folder.

Yesterday I updated to iOS4.2.1.

Now every time I try to play a game on MY iPhone I'm prompted to login to "Game Center" I do not wish to subscribe or login, I find it pointless and since i own the device I should be able to remove or disable any application I wish to.

Game Center appears to be one of Apple's mandatory applications and it will accept my apple ID, so I have come to apple for answers.

Please post/reference steps on removing or disabling "Game Center" on MY iPhone.

This is a user-to-user forum. You're not actually speaking to Apple technical support here. And, as was stated earlier in the thread, there is no way to remove Game Center. You can, however, make a new folder for things you don't really want to deal with and put things like Game Center in that and then move it to a screen you don't use as much.

There is no legit way to downgrade.

I have no answer, am just agreeing. I have no interest in game center, but when I launch Doodle Jump or Angry Birds, an irritating message comes up asking me to join. I don't want to, ever. I turned off notification, too, to no avail.
