Error :The update was not successful.

When I try to update my apple tv to version 4.1. It downloads the update but it stops half way though the install and after a few minutes i get this message "The update was not successful.". This is the 4th time I tried the update. I did a reset and unplugged the apple tv for a few minutes. Still nothing anyone else getting this error?

G4 MDD 1.25, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

Tried doing the update using a hardwired ethernet connection still the same thing. The update downloads but it fails during the install process.

connect to iTunes via Micro USB and restore it will run the update as well

Go to Settings....General....and turn on Send Data to Apple.

After trying unsuccessfully numerous times I made the change above and the update worked flawlessly the first time. Good luck.

I've had mine on send data to Apple the entire time and still wont work. That has nothing to do with whether it will update or not. Must have been coincidence for you.

Don't bother buying a micro USB plug (this is just a usb plug with a smaller plug that fits apple tv) it wont work anyway. There is something wrong with the server, worldwide none of us can update or restore our apple tv's.
