so it only HP wireless printers, with keyword being wireless.

Then my Lexmark 544 laser printer connected via ethternet to a MacPro which is connected to a time machine will not allow me to print from my iPad or iPhone?

I hope Apple is working on this.....

MacPro, Intel iMac, MacBookPro, Apple TV,iPhone3G s, iPod, Mac OS X (10.6.5), Airport wireless, iPhone 6/29, Mac user since 2/84

Apple was working on printing to USB-connected printers, but the feature was pulled out of the late beta releases of 10.6.5 for some unannounced reason. So clearly Apple had it mind, but couldn't for some reason implement it in this release. For now, Printopia might be worth a look:

Try printopia. It works very well.

What a disappointment!! Gotta hand it to Apple - BIG time screwup. This has to be the worst come-on I have ever seen. What's the point beside trying to sell HP printers? This update was worthless.

Printopia is only for Mac. What do PC people do to get the iPad to print to a Canon printer on my wireless network.

This instruction shows you how you can do the same on the PC. Works on our Vista 64 Quad Core machine connected to a networked imaging Epson color printer.

I second that, Air Print is a complete waste of time. I can not believe OS 10.6.5 can not replicate a HP printer and offer air print to any installed printer. Even if it was just the most basic functions.

I hear it was pulled from a beta version, so I hope thats just because it was buggy and not for some deal apple has with HP.

Other than multitasking the update is rubbish.
