WiFi/Internet Incredibly slow after iOS 4.2 Upgrade
My wifi is incredibly slow after I upgraded two of the three iPads in my home to iOS 4.2. The other iPad that has not been upgraded works fine. In a side by side test loading the same web page, the iOS 4.2 iPad takes 5x as long. Any ideas on why this would happen?
Mine is the same way. After I updated the software, the Internet along with Facebook, YouTube and Pandora are all taking a very long time bringing up the information. Any suggestions?
I have to weigh in on this, too. My wi-fi access to the Internet is also much slower than before I installed iOS v4 on my iPad. It's painfully slow. In an attempt to fix it I restarted my iPad, and I cleaned all of my Safari cache. All to no avail.
The same for me. After iOS 4.2 installation the wifi connection is very slow. Unusable. Other mac and pc work fine on the same wifi lan. There are other posts on this subject, I believe this is a true bug. Now I try to reboot my router.
I also have these problems. iOS4 slowed the internet down on my ipod touch since it's original release and now not only is it slower now on my iPad but sometimes it just doesn't load anything despite the wifi signal showing. Tried resetting router/network settings etc. Very frustrating.
The problem is here again. I rebooted the router and reset the network settings and for a while ipad was able to connect to the internet. But now, again, wifi is on everything seems fine but the connection is out of service! Sometimes packets flow, but I'm not able to use the net. This is quite disappointing.
