Magnets near iPad

Magnets near iPad

Just got the iPad. The purse I want to carry it in uses magnets on it's flaps. Any problem with having these rather strong magnets so near the iPad?

I carry mine in a shopper with magnetic snaps and I've never had a problem.

I carry my iPhone in this purse and it's fine, but I just wanted to throw it out there as I remembered being warned many years ago about magnets and computers not mixing well.

Maybe the newer ones are more protected?

Well, I should have mentioned that I do keep mine in the apple case, which is why I need the shopper, but my ipod is always in a snappy pocket in my regular purse and it's still going strong.

My iPad is in the apple case as well.

Seems magnets are almost ubiquitous on purses anymore.
