I have a MacBook connected to my home network. I got a new printer from the Apple, an HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m. It is properly configured and connected to the network. It shows a valid IP address and good signal. I set up the printer in the add Printer window, the MacBook found it fine, installed the proper driver and seems to see it on the network. It worked OK when I first installed it. Now, when I try to print, mostly it can't find the printer, and the HP utility can't find it either. It was working a few days ago. I have reset the printer, reinstalled it, all the usual things. What could be the cause of the intermittent connection? Thanks again.

Could be the IP address changed unless you set up a static address for the printer. Can you access your router's admin area and check the network? Have you tried powering down all equipment and re-powering up?
Thanks for the suggestions. I am using a wireless router that assigns IP via DHCP. I have powered down and restarted every link in the chain. The printer has a valid DHCP IP and shows good signal strength. What's strange is that every once and a while I can make a connection, but usually not.
