iPhoto and iDVD are crashing after pushing the application icon

Hi, I´ve got some serious troubles with iPhoto and iDVD after I updated iLife to the current version. Of course I performed an online update in addition. As soon I try to start one of the applications each of them crashes immediately. I already deleted the udder and system caches, it didn´t cause any improvement. Hope sone of you guys has a solution.

Exactly.

You need to re-install iPhoto because it's missing parts of itself:

Library not loaded: /Library/Frameworks/iLifeFaceRecognition.framework/Versions/A/iLifeFaceRecognit ion
...
...Reason: image not found

To re-install iPhoto

1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name. On 10.6 those receipts may be found in the Finder using the Go menu and selecting Go To Folder

In the resulting window type

/var/db/receipts/

3. Re-install.

If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.

If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
