hi all, same here, in South Africa. did the OS update and now the simm is detected in the device with full signal however when i try to ,og onto anything i get an error that states i am not subscribed to a data service. the sam simm worked before the upgrade for over 2 months and i am using it now to write this msg...............have advised all my colegues not to upgrade or purchase this product .
Well what a pig's breakfast the upgrade to IOS 4.2 turned out to be. I only upgraded because several of my purchased Apps were upgrading to only work on IOS 4.2. I was enjoying the new functionality (while on WiFi) but then only a few hours after the upgrade, discovered the problem with 3G connectivity! I'm with Telstra in Australia and only just signed up for more credit last week. I am not as confident as all the guru's who post solutions on here, and I really appreciated the 3G connectivity more than changes that IOS 4.2.2 brought - so how to I downgrade back to IOS 3? Alternatively does anyone know when an Apple fix will be made available? Definitely regret upgrading now!!
Same problem here, I'm in Jakarta, using provider 3 (Hutchinson), suddenly my iPad cannot connect to 3G, always stucked in EDGE. Latest OS is 4.2.1. Already tried to restore everything, well... it is back to 3G, but after restoring from my previous backup, 3G disappear again.
It should be a software or setting problem. Right now, still consider to start up from scratch because it will be to hassle.
