Cannot activate ipad after updating to iOS 4.2.1

Cannot activate ipad after updating to iOS 4.2.1

I just update my ipad to iOS4.2.1 but unable to activate it.

The message on itunes (10.1.0.56) reads "We are unable to complete your activation at this time. Please disconnect your ipad from your computer and reconnect it later and we should be able to activate it"

But even after I tried several times, (and on other ppl's computer, so it's an internet connection issue), I am still unable to activate. And always show an "iunes + white USB cable" logo on ipad screen and the same message on itunes.

Any can help? PS:
1)I update through local .ipsw file, (shift + update), the file is no problem
2)My ipad is not JB

I just experienced the exact same thing after upgrading from iOS 4.2.x to iOS 4.3...

Now my iPad shows the picture of the white USB cable that tells me to connect to iTunes to (re)activate. After trying this nothing happens - except from a message in iTunes telling me that;

"There is a problem with your iPad.
We're sorry, the iPad you connected may be damaged and canot be activated for service. We recommend you to visit your nearest Apple Store for more information. To find your..."

Anyone else had similar exeriences?!

Mine is now working!?!?!? I found another site that was posting one after another that theirs' have started working. I think it must have been somethhing with Apple's server!?!

hi evry one i hade the same problem so what i did was that i downloaded beta 5, first i whent to controll panel and i chanched account users to guest and lod of and swich users i clicked users then the i conected the ipad to ituens it shoul work mine did hope it works for all of yous

To valentina23: Glad to hear you can resolve it now. I bought a 2nd hand IPAD 16gb 3g and also has same problem (can't activate after restore. First, no 3G service (though wifi, bluetooth, apps function well) and when i restore it could not be activated. So I believe this originate from OS problem not hardware issue. Do you mean the problem will be solved by IOS beta 5?

i downlaoded beta 5 and then i whent to control panel then account usres then again user accounts and i turned on guest account then i loged out and whent to the guest acount and ther i was abel to activate my ipad

but how can one install new system software if you cannot acces the ipad because the ipad cannot be activated in ITunes, that's the real question in this tread.
