iTunes taking a long time to restore/install my apps after update

Anyone run into the problem of iTunes/iPad crashing with error during update? When i restored my iPad and updated it...the apps are taking a long time to install.
By a long time I mean its been 5+ hours.
I dont have any of those Mag apps or anything that people were posting problems with.
I left my iPad on at home 90% done on stage 2 of 3 of restore.
Any help/comments would be appreciated.
Im running a i7 computer with Win7...connector is for the iPad and the USB power is not an issue.
12gigs of used space on a 64gig iPad 3g
Mostly game and paint apps
about 500+ pics
10 short videos and 4 Paid movies
and alot of songs
