I want to play podcast episodes just once

I recently bought an ipod shuffle 4th generation to listen to podcasts but i've noticed that when it finishes playing all the episodes of a given podcast in continuous order it goes back to the first episode and begins to play it again even thought it had been already played. I wan to know if there is a way to make the ipod play all the episodes in order just once and not repeat already played podcasts.

I too have been trying to work out how to do this.

I guess the easy way would be to only play an episode of a podcast once if the shuffle is on shuffle mode as opposed to repeat mode.

Please add to the next update please apple!!!

The easiest way is to create a smart playlist that will only include podcasts that have not yet been played. That way, when you connect the shuffle to the computer, the playlist will automatically get rid of the tracks you have already listened too and load up new ones you have not yet listened too.

I have the same repeating problem with my new 4th gen shuffle. I have tried a smart playlist, but when i click on my shuffle to choose what is sync'd with my ipod the smart playlists ive made with podcasts arent in the list of available playlists to add.

Help with this would be amazing, I'm a student and I clean a bank at night, listening to podcasts 30 hours a week. If I didn't have to press the voiceover button and skip 23456 times I would be very happy.
