Cannot Charge MacBook Pro despite Troubleshooting
Hi,
Last night, I left my MBP to charge overnight (from 30% charge in battery).
This morning, when I boot up, it was charged (100% charge in battery).
However, it stopped charging and stopped running on AC power, indicating that the adapter seemed to be faulty. I am now running on battery (which is running low).
I tried using the 85W adapter on a Macbook and it couldn't charge, and when I tried using the Macbook 60W charger on my MBP, it can't charge too.
In short, I now can't charge either my MBP or Macbook using either the 60 or 85W adapter on either machine.
I have checked Apple's MagSafe troubleshooting guide but I cannot resolve my problem. (i.e. checked adapter's wires, connectors, mains, etc.)
Has anyone encountered this? Would charging my MBP overnight cause significant problems or damage the adapter?
Thanks.
