Error 9006 on iPhone 4 Update

I am trying to download the latest version (4.2) for my iPhone 4, but it seems to get stuck about 50Meg in & displaying Error 9006.
I have tried to search for this error code on Apple's site, but with no result.
Any suggestions?

What? More South Africans?

What's different on our connections that we're all getting this "Error 9006"?

Is there a South African out there that has successfully completed this download? If so, which ISP (Telkom/MWeb/Afrihost/WeAfrica/Vodacom/MTN) did you use and which connection method did you use (ADSL/3G/Neotel).... were you at work/home?

Cheers

Download the update you are looking for externally from itunes by searching for it via google or wateva

Then place the file in one of the following places:

On Windows XP :
Documents and Settings\<User>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates

On Windows Vista/Windows 7:
Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates

On Mac:
~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates

Next time you start itunes it will detect the update and ask to update.

It is not a solution to the error but it is a way to get round it, It worked great for me

Hope it works for you! 🙂
