We're wanting to create a database for one of our clients, of all the video they've shot recently. The purpose for this would be to offer them the service of being able to access (view only) any of their footage from their own offices. We're running SANmp on a 16TB Evo. We're looking into FCS, because of it's powerful tagging/search ability. Would I be able to set up FCS in a way that allow our client to search their footage on our SAN, from their offices? Maybe this is completely outside of FCS - like VPN stuff?? Hopefully not.
I'm totally aware that I might be missing large chunks of basic understanding here, so all input will be appreciated!

Yes, all they would need is network access to FCSvr. The TCP ports FCSvr uses are 80, 8821, and 8891. It could be accessed via VPN or you could just expose your FCSvr to the Internet (though that is generally not advised).
