How to use iPad's Safari to open HTML files transferred to my iPad?
In Safari for OS X, I can have Safari open a website whose pages and images are stored on my HD's Sites folder -- first, activate Web Sharing; then choose: File > Open a File… > Sites > index.html.
Is there any way to transfer a website's files to my iPad, and then use iPad's Safari to open it there?
TIA.

Mac OS X (10.6.5),

No, mobile Safari can't open locally stored HTML files, as for security reasons iOS devices do not have an open file system like your Mac has.
I think that there are third-party Apps that can do this (such as GoodReader maybe?). You have to transfer the HTML documents to the iPad via the iTunes File Sharing feature.
I use Mobile Me. It includes iDisk (a pre-cessor to iCloud).
I opened iDisk with my MacBook and drug my html camera manual from the MacBook desktop into iCloud. It took a little while, but when it was visible in the iCloud on the iPad I just clicked on the file. It just "worked." The file opened in Safari; the hyperlinks work, also.
If you don't have MobileMe I believe Dropbox//https://www.dropbox.com will work also; there are Dropbox apps available in the App Store. It is free.
