touch 4G can't go where touch 1G has gone before.....

I last month upgraded my 8GB Touch 1g to a 64GB Touch 4g.

All the settings were successfully transferred (and compared / verified by me) but the new Touch can't find most wifi networks even if I am standing in the same room as the router. The old Touch has no problem connecting.

It's not a password or security problem, the network just don't show.

Help, I find myself having to bring along my old Touch and this makes my son very unhappy that he can't yet inherit of it.

Just to be clearer, this is not just one network that's the problem, most networks even the very close, password free and strong ones are not picked-up by the new Touch when all show on the old one.

Try resetting the network settings on the touch - tap Settings > Other > Reset > Reset network settings. If you still have a problem and live reasonably close to an Apple store, make an appointment with a Genius and return the device for replacement.
