Mine has worked after the upgrade just like it did before...exactly as Apple advertises. A key for a lot of people is in the router itself. iPads like to see routers that have up-to-date firmware and follow the protocols exactly. A lot of older, and some brands of new, routers do not do that.
If you are having problems, try:
1. Resetting the iPad network information either through Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network, or by holding the Sleep/power and Home buttons.
2. Power cycle the router. Power cycle the iPad.
3. Reinstall all network information manually, paying close attention to the password as entered, each character stays in plain text for a second or two before turning into a dot.
4. Make sure Settings > Safari AutoFill is turned OFF.
