What that means is, it is looking for a certain file from the old hard drive.
It was in this folder
The Transfer Purchases option should copy the apps. I don't know why it's not.
If you want your playlists, ratings, and non-iTunes music, photos, etc, you can buy a 3rd-party iPad manager program.
Here is a page to start research on that - it is from 2008 and I am sure there are even more programs out there now.
