Why no Airplay for iPhone 3G w iOS 4.2.1?
I'd like to understand the technical reason that Airplay is not available from an iPhone 3G with iOS 4.2.1. I understand that the button for Airplay is located in the multitasking tray, and supposedly the iPhone 3G is too slow for multitasking - please don't post a simplistic response like that.
I want to know (a) why the Airplay button is considered a multitasking feature, (b) whether there was ANY way Apply COULD have allowed the iPhone 3G to use Airplay but decided to blow us 3G users off instead.
I wish Apple could just be honest about this kind of thing. I had to find this info buried in support. This should have been a prominent part of the iOS 4.2.1 announcement, that the 3G wasn't getting Airplay, and that Apple would just rather stop making new software for the 3G altogether if all us stupid users would just upgrade already.
