Remote desktop client

I want to be able to login to my machine from remote locations. I have The remote desktop setup but I am not always at a machine that has the client installed.

Is there a webbased client from Apple Remote Desktop? (similar to the VNC webabsed client)

There is no web interface for Remote Desktop, but you can use a VNC viewer (Chicken of the VNC for instance) to observe and control any mac with the ARD client installed. You need to ensure that 'VNC viewers may control screen with the password' is ticked in the Sharing preferences on the client, and that a password is entered. I'd advise you NOT to use the same password as the remote management one, as VNC sessions are not as secure as ARD ones.
