How to slash the number zero

I want to know how to get a slashed zero by using the iMac Standard wired keyboard.

I have found out how to get a slashed capital letter O which looks like this: Ø
This is done by pressing option key plus Shift plus letter o

But I want to overlay the following two characters: 0 and /
Is there a combination of keys that will give me a slash through the number 0 ?

Thanks,

iMac 20 inch, Mac OS X (10.6.5), Standard full-size wired keyboard

My call is N0̷YD.

That looks strange. What happened to the prefix W0̷/K0̷? I used to love code. Could copy at 40-45 wpm. Would hear whole words, not individual letters. Used to hang out on 15, 20 meters. SSB was just arriving when I gave it up. Heathkit DX-100. Does that mean anything to you?

I gave it up when I realized I was having more interesting conversations with someone who lived a quarter mile away than on the other side of the world. So why not just meet or talk on the phone? Talk was pretty much restricted to certain topics, like the weather or equipment. (I appreciated it to a certain extent, but wasn't that much into the technical side of things.) How is that now?

My first call at age 14 was a WN9, then 3 months later W9, then a W0̷
When I got my Extra class license, I selected a one-by-two call N0̷YD and use the mnemonics "Yankee Doodle". It's easy for people to remember.

I used code a lot during those early years but never got much above 15 wpm.
I had an SX-71 Hallicrafters rcvr and a home-brew xmtr.
Conversations by code for me were short and not of a lot of interest.
Then when I got fone my conversations were longer and more interesting.
My interest in traveling and in different cultures all came from ham radio as well as my career as an Electrical Engineer.

Ham radio has had a big influence on my life.

I was a K9 Tech back in the 50's, but dropped out until the 90's

Interesting. That was a long hiatus. Is code still a requirement for the General License (if that category still exists in that name)? Can't see the point of it now -- or even in the 90s -- except as some form of ancient tribal initiation ritual.

Hallicrafters SX-71 and Collins: that brings me back.

I had to do 13wpm in the 90's for the license, but the requirement has been eliminated since then, and I was never any good at it. I know quite a few hams who still swear by code as the best mode, especially when conditions are poor, as they have been for a number of years during the sunspot minimum. PSK31/RTTY are a partial substitute.
