Mail not loading new gmail message

I have a similar problem with Mail 4.4 and Gmail.
For the second time in a few months, Mail has stopped syncing with my Gmail account.
My iPhone works fine and my Gmail account works fine via a web browser.
I have also lost a lot of free space on my HDD.

anyone any ideas?

I'm facing the same problem since 27 Dec 2010, can't find and fix for this problem.

I can download other mail accounts except imap.gmail.com, it just show loading and nothing happen, and it also choke up almost all my internet bandwidth.

I gave up and switched to outlook for mac and no such problem.

Hope apple can look into this problem and I'm sure there are more out there having same issue.

I am having the exact same problem since December 27, 2010. I am doing a computer software update today to see if that helps, if not I will be deleting my Gmail and reinstall (total pain). Any help would be appreciated!

I also have had this issue since january 4, 2011. Mail at times will also not allow closing of the program to happen and because of that, I have to automatically shutdown my mac by hand. Mail gets a royal "You Suck" from me at this current moment in time.

About 4 months ago I was experiencing Gmail Loading problems on my Mac…

So, in Mail, I Deleted my Gmail account… Quit Mail… Relaunched Mail… and then Recreated my Gmail account…

Sounds simple… But it worked for me… 🙂
