Yes, but not via Airprint at the moment.
You have 2 options:
1) use a 3rd party app like 'Printcentral' or 'Print n Share' (available from the app store) or 'Printopia' (if you're on OS X).
2) use the widely available workarounds to bring shared printers back into Airprint. (Available for Windows and OS X) We're probably not allowed to post links, but they are not difficult to find.

So as has been pointed out, your HP Photosmart C7280 does not support printing directly via AirPrint. As I pointed out in my [FAQ|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2658560&tstart=0] thread and has been pointed out by others even in this thread, there are some options to get your Printer "shared" so that AirPrint can see it.

There are also some Apps you can download from the iTunes App store that support printing directly to your Printer, including [HP iPrint Photo|http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hp-iprint-photo-3-0/id299531647?mt=8] which allows you to print pictures, PDF's, and text documents.

Just trying to help.

Unfortunately the Photosmart C4580 is not supported by AirPrint directly. There are options to get it running. Since you are a Mac user, you can purchase either of the Apps I mention in my [FAQ|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2658560&tstart=0] thread to enable Printer sharing from your Mac. Note that if you need to print directly, there is also the [HP iPrint Photo|http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hp-iprint-photo-3-0/id299531647?mt=8] App in the iTunes App Store.

Just trying to help.

I'm trying to figure out how to print using HP Photosmart C4580. I've gone to the HP site and they say they only give support to Windows users. One helper on the HP site I got through to assured me it was a supported AirPrint printer, another one said it wasn't. Please help if you can.

Here is a list of supported printers as well as some that are expected to be supported once HP updates their firmware in Dec. Doesn't look like that one is currently supported. That's not to say that they (HP) might not release a firmware update later on or that Apple will release an update to the iOS that will enable air print on more printers - but currently doesn't look like it.

Some users have reported using a method to work around this in order to print to their "non supported" printers on their MAC networks. You can search the air print part of this forum to read about this.

OK, if you want to print an email, you have to add your email account into PnS. Then you can print anything in your account from there.
If you have an attachment to an email, if you tap and hold on it, you'll see a dialogue box come up asking 'open in...'. Select PnS and you can then print.
PnS also links to your MobileMe account or other Cloud services like Dropbox. It also links directly to your PC or Mac to print files from there.
I hope that helps.

jwkdoc,

Since you're on a Mac, you can share your printers as I pointed out in my [FAQ|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2658560&tstart=0] thread with FingerPrint or Printopia. There are other options, but these two are supported by the vendors that created them and aren't likely to disappear tomorrow.

That will allow you to print anything that can print to an AirPrint Printer through your Mac as a proxy.

Just trying to help.
