iTouch Photos to Computer - what app should I use?

Hi,

iTouch Photos to Computer - what app should I use?

I called Apple. They said get a 3rd party software to copy iTouch photos already on my friend's iTouch to the computer - and then use that library to sync to.
I downloaded something on the internet that only copied 40 K pics... not the full resolution.
Any suggestions on an app?

Only need to do this once... thanks!

Maybe I misunderstand.

Do you mean pics saved from/taken with ipod? If so,, then my answer stands.

If you mean pics synced to ipod from your computer, then you can e-mail them to yourself. There is no supported way to do it otherwise.

There are third party apps ( not supported by Apple). Don't know any specifics, sorry.

The pics should be on your computer, or on your backup copy of your computer.

Hi,
Maybe I am unable to explain well:
My friend brought his iTouch to a friend's when he first got it. His friend put on some pictures they had taken on the iTouch. When he brought it back to take pictures off of his actual comuputer - the iTouch basically said "do you want to synch with this library? If so... everything on the iTouch will be erased". So - Apple suggested we download pics from the iTouch onto his computer first - then into iPhoto... then synch the iTouch.
Does this make sense - and do you still stick with your first answer? I don't think you can download from iTouch to computer without 3rd party software.
Thanks!

The ipod touch is not designed for storage.

It would be better to use a flash drive etc to move pics to another computer.

The pics are optimized for viewing on the ipod ( not of original quality).

The pic sync is one way - computer to iphone.

You would have to use 3rd party software ( not an ipod app, but a program from your computer)that is not supported by Apple to remove the pics.

You can e-mail the photos.

I would use another method ( not the ipod) to move pics.
