I have checked the signal strength and it's at full strength.

How do I determine if it's the network connection? Would a wired connection work better?
I had my Apple TV 2 since Xmas of 2010 and had it connected through ethernet wire and it worked perfectly for months. But ever since the latest update (May 2011), it's been quiting on me also. Video from iTunes plays a few minutes...then quits back to main menu.
I just did a system restore on my ATV2 and it seems to be working fine now. Even though it supposedly put the latest update on the device again. But like Ryan Thrash1 said...you have to set up all your passwords again.
I just installed an Apple TV 2. Internet connection applications as Apple Store, Youtbe, etc work very well but it drops Library`s communication just after a few minutes. I`m running files like music that are in the library in a PC with Windows Vista.
I`ve been reading other discussions and have done every thing that was suggested as:
- setting Static IP address
- have set Firewall with the ports are supposed to open
- have set Port Forwarding on the router (a Linksys WRT54GS)
- have updated Network Card driver
- have updated router firmware
- turned off sleepling mode and screen saver
- restored Apple TV 2
- reset router
- installed last Itunes version
All that and possibily other things that I do not remember right now but still looseingconnection to the Library after a few minutes. I have realized first time I put a slide show of pictures with music background and the music always stops after the second music. After that you just see the message that you need to turn on the Library related to my Apple ID.
Today I did a test with a home sharing with another computer I have that runs Windows 7 and guess what: the Home Sharing worked fine!
So, my conclusion is that there is some flaw on Home Sharing when running Itunes in Windows Vista or specificly with this computer running the Windows Vista.
I have done a research and have not found anything else. So, could anyone have a hint of what is going on?
Thanks,
Ricardo
This happened to me for months. What solved it for me:
1. Upgraded my wireless to Airport Extreme Base Station from an older Netgear
2. Completely uninstalled Bonjour & iTunes, then downloaded & installed 64 bit iTunes (on Win7 64)
Not saying you have to run out and buy an AES, but try and see if uninstalling & reinstalling iTunes works.
