Using F8 to install Windows

Question

Using F8 to install Windows

Hello,
I am trying to install Windows on my mac (I installed Virtual Box first)
To agree to the Windows installation I need to press F8. I went to System Preferences>Keyboard&Mouse and checked the box "Use F1, F2, etc"
Then I tried using Fn F8 but it still didn't work, what should I do

Installing Windows natively on a Mac for dual boot is what this forum is for, not for using VMs which run inside/under Mac OS.

And you won't have various boot options.

Reread the FAQs and manual for VirtualBox.

Other VMs $$ like Fusion/Parallels can work with Windows native install (on Boot Camp partition) as well as from inside OS X.

It sounds like you are not placing the window focus in the window. You should click your mouse one time in the VirtualBox window where it is requesting you accept the EULA. Typically the arrow will disappear at that point. Then it should accept your F8 key. If it does not, try pressing Fn and F8 to see if it sends the correct key to the virtual machine.
