Lock / Block a stolen Ipod Touch

Hi, my girlfriend Ipod Touch was stolen, is that possible to apple lock or block the ipod?

If the thief or someone register her device, is there any possibility to know his e-mail? I got the serial number in the receipt, I bought at Apple Store in NYC last July.

I'm really bothered with this fact...

Report it to the police and change passwords.

No. There are things like MobileMe and GadgeTrac that could have helped you, but they need to be set up before it's stolen or lost. I'm afraid you are out of luck at this point.

Thanks for the answers....

Anyway, I'm a pretty sad, because I got the receipt, I'd like to advice the thief that the warranty is avaliable until July 2011 🙂

I got MobileMe in my iPhone and I'm going to get more information about Gadgetrack.

Anyway, I'm a pretty sad,

I hear ya. I sold an iPad to a guy and it was stollen 2 weeks later. He was sick, but got it replaced under his homeowners insurance. You really have to watch these expensive mobile iDevices like a hawk. 1300 laptops are stollen a week at O'Hare Airport in Chicago.
