How can i check/identify an IPhone 4 is Original or fake?

Hello,

Am going to buy an Iphone 4 Hongkong Model,How can i check it whether it`s an original one or fake ...?Am Currently at China,am buying an Smuggled one,so is there will be any future problem..if it`s got damaged or something...Please help me...

Buying from anywhere other than an Authorised Reseller leaves you open to the risk that it is a fake.

There is no online 'checker' until the phone is registered to someone and then only the registered owner can check as far as I know.

First look at the phone. Most fakes are horrible. Second, turn on the phone, most fakes are horrible there too. I've never seen a fake that could convince me it was a genuine iPhone.

Ask the seller for the serial number.
Ask him to send you a photo of the iPhone Settings Page - About-General - which confirms the serial number.

Plug the serial number into the Apple support center:
https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do

If it is identified as IP4, its real.
