I tried to purchase tickets on Jetblue (which I have done many times on this MacBook Pro) and I get the dreaded colored disk on the same panel while getting to the checkout panel.. I had to force quit Safari to restart...Tried this 10 times, finally having to call Jetblue who booked my tickets after hearing my problem and waived the $30 booking fee. Their website is fine (up and running)... I am running the latest version of Safari with all updates. My wife's Mac had the same issue (running the same Safari SW).
I checked and found that I successfully purchased another set of tickets on the Jetblue site on Nov 8..The only app I installed in the interim was clicktoflash that was recommended in this forum by Carolyn...I am sure that there was also an automatic Safari update in the past 3 weeks...Any suggestions would be very welcome!...Thanks!
I have installed the combo-pack, repaired permissions and verified the disk, Safari still hangs on the same screen on the Jetblue site...I searched for similar problems on the web and found only one obscure reference to Verisign (a site security app) with Safari 5.0.3.
Any assistance or suggestions are very much appreciated!
From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab. Click: &Show Cookies*
Delete all cookies related to the jetBlue site.
Quit Safari (Command + Q) then relaunch Safari.
If that didn't help, go back to Safari / Preferences then select the
Autofill tab. Click the
Edit button next to: *Other forms*. Delete all JetBlue related url's. Quit Safari, relaunch Safari.
I had deleted all Jetblue cookies/restarted Safari previously (sorry I did not document that in this thread..) and that did not resolve the issue...BUT with your second recommendation, I deleted the one Jetblue form as you directed, restarted Safari and now I am able to purchase flights again!!
