XServer Discontinued Why?

Hi All,

Anyone know why Apple does not push it Server Line more. They have a great product but it is hardly even mentioned by the powers to be. New "SERVER" features are few and far between and now they are ditching there rack mounted line of XServers. Anyone who manages servers knows it's about machine power and space available to house that power. Rack mounted computers give you that. Sure Mac Mini is nice but not much processing power, and Mac Pro's have the juice but take up a lot of space; 1U racked systems are the answer.

For a company to do so many things correctly; to miss handle the server line like this is strange.

I can tell you why it's terribly overpriced! At $4000.00 I could have almost 2 HP dl360 g5's Big regret buying the xserve, i did purchase a solid state drive along with 2 drives for Raid 1, but still... i even got the Educational discount! Then if i want to visualize it's another 1500.00 for Parallels, Unless i try virtual box, but I've only used it on Unbuntu. It's a shame mac has to stick it to you on the hardware when they have such a great OS!
