Why doesn't my iPhone's screen rotate anymore?

Since the latest software update the screen on my Iphone 4 will not rotate to horizontal view.

It will for aps which run only in horizontal view, such as some games. The camera will switch from verticle to horizontal. But for emails, Safari, PDF docs, and photos the display will only be in verticle view. Even photos which were taken holding the phone horizontally when I open the photo it only displays vertically.

Does anyone else have this display problem since the latest software update? Any suggestions on fixing this problem?

Thank you.

first thing I would check to see if orientation lock is on which is located in the multitasking bar and swiping to the left...

otherwise
to be honest these are the solutions that may or may not work..

first thing I would try is rebooting the phone by holding the sleep/wake button and home button for 15 seconds until you see the white apple logo

if that doesn't work I would restore from backup and if that doesn't work I would restore as new if all else fails take it to your closest apple store they may replace the phone for a working one.
