When the Game Center terms and conditions changed, I was prompted for password entry. After three fails, I started getting the message "The Apple ID you entered has been disabled for security reasons."

I reset my apple password, but when I log into Game Center, I get the same error message (disabled for security reasons).

The Game Center ID is my email address (and differs from my apple id). Is there a way to reset the *Game Center password*? I am not interested in resetting my apple ID (I've already done that).

iPhone 4, iPhone OS 2.x

I am having a similar problem. When I accepted the new terms and conditions my game center stopped working all together. Nothing updates now. Any suggestions.

Same problem here, except that it's a minor child whose login failed 3x then got the "apple ID you entered has been disabled" message. All he has is a username and password, no email. When I tried to reset his password I got as far as entering his security question (correctly) then got a "You are not a member of the administrator group" message. So I couldn't even reset his password.

How can I reactivate his Game Center account?

My son can't seem to get his password reset either. Not sure what to do. Apple seems unable to help us reset his account.

This has happened to be a lot. I figured someone was trying to get into my account, so Apple disabled it.

Here is what I did. I just go to intunes and hit the "forgot my password" link. It then sends a link to my email address to change my password. Once I changed my password and entered the new password in game center. It worked. I have to do this every month or so. Seems like someone is trying to get use my username, and attempting to put in a password, so apple locks it.

I was having the same problem. I had to change the password because of the Gawker issue and Game Center didn't work, but then I realized I had a few games running and I thought that might be the issue. I closed all apps, even those that didn't have anything to do with GC and next time I launched the app it worked!

    Hope this helps.

This didn't work for me. I have gone down the iForgot path twice now and GameCenter still tells me my Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons. Does anyone know the missing step here?

Hello everyone. I was having the exact same problem. Forgot my password and was unable to sign back into my Game Center account. I just figured out how to get back on, using the same Apple ID.

On Game Center sign in screen, just click "Create New Account." I entered the exact same email that I had used before, and same personal information. It alerted me that the email address was already in the system and if I wanted to use this again. I clicked "yes." After clicking the "Agree" button, my previous Apple ID was active again and I was able to sign in.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

Still having the same issue, also for a child's account; I get the same "You are not a member of the Administrator group" when I try to login to the Apple Discussions, and either trying to re-cover or re-create the ID fails (id already in use).
