iTunes crashing when I go to Store

Hi,

Please can anyone help me. I have recently upgraded to iTunes 10.1 to support my new 4th Gen Touch. All appears to be working OK until I try to access the iTunes store, at which point the application crashes.

I have tried re-installing iTunes 10.1 but the problem still exists.

I am running on a Windows Vista 32 bit machine.

The older version of iTunes I was using worked fine (could access the store without issue)

Dell, Windows Vista, Windows Vista 32 bit

I get a Windows message in a pop up that states:
iTunes has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
The window also shows a close programe button.

If I use search I can get into the store to view the results of my search and I have even downloaded something that way the other day. If I use any of the menu tabs in the store or try to enter via the home page, it just crashes.

It is really annoying because all was fine until I upgraded iTunes to use with my new Touch.

It's your video card or display adaptor causing the grief here, Alan. It's usually reported for ATI Radeon 2400 series video cards, as per:

[iTunes for Windows: System restarts, blue screen, or quits unexpectedly when accessing iTunes Store|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3441]

... but other Radeon (or Radeon-based) devices might also suffer similar problems.

If you update the drivers for your video card or display adaptor on the PC, are you able to visit the Store without getting the iTunes errors again?

the same thing is happening to me since the 10.1 upgrade, except it occurs only when i select podcasts from the device sync screen. i can select all other options, but when i click podcasts, it pauses for a second, then i get the "itunes has stopped working" msg and must close. i have a nano 3rd gen & touch also 3rd gen & this happens for both only when podcast is selected, which is annoying because i can't select specific podcasts to sync anymore.

Fantastic. I have downloaded the latest driver for my graphics card and the problem is now fixed. I can browse the iTunes store without issue.

Not only that but my daughter's SIMS 2 and Zoo Tycoon 2 games now work as well. I have spent hours trying to get them to run and gave up a few months ago. She will be so pleased.

Thank you so much for your help. It really is appreciated.
