Jan 10, 2012 9:02 AM in response to gabberman24by kumarjee,I am trying to restore my iPhone 3gs with iOS 3.0.1! I want to restore with this version of iOS only. I am also getting the same error code "an unknown error occurred 3194". Tried using tinyumberilla, tried it by doing force shutdown, recoverymode restore and all the ways mentioned in this post. But no luck
Please some body help! Thanks in advance...

Jan 14, 2012 11:31 PM in response to gabberman24by markymark8,iTunes error 3194 can be caused by a variety of issues. The most common solution is updating iTunes. However, if you are currently running the latest version of iTunes, you can try the other solutions posted here. Hope this helps!

Feb 9, 2012 11:34 PM in response to gabberman24by Hebear,in my case i solved the 3194 issue by disabling the firewall in my router, and in my computer, whilst the restore occurred. Essentially my firewalls were preventing apple from looking into my computer for an id check at the end of the operating system update, and that is what was causing the update/restore to abort.

Mar 11, 2012 11:56 PM in response to markymark8by Zadvier93,This worked for me i was able to look in my hosts and it had someething else so i took that off and i deleted itunes and installed it back up and i was able to restore again...
