Magic mouse wakes up my iMac

Hey all,
This is really annoying. My magic mouse keeps waking up my computer from sleep or screensaver. I've got my mac set so that moving the mouse to the top right corner puts it into screensaver but as soon as I do, it snaps back out of it. When it doesn't, it sits in screensaver mode for anywhere between a few seconds to a few minutes before waking itself up again. When I turn off the magic mouse it doesn't happen. I don't know if the scroller on the mouse is acting up or if it's the fact that it's using bluetooth but it's really annoying and it means that I always have to turn off the mouse whenever I put my mac into sleep mode.
Can anyone help?

That's a very good question! I'm sure I remember doing something in Leopard (10.5) with a Mighty Mouse when I first got my iMac - now I've got the Magic Mouse and 10.6 and I can't find the darned setting anywhere!

Erm...

So - either Apple removed this feature in 10.6 or the magic mouse removed this feature. Everything on the internet seems to point to the feature not being present in OS X yet I'm sure I had to "fix" this problem myself. Now I'm really stumped! Sorry.

first, I use bettertouchtool and have no problems whatsoever. I don't think it is related.

secondly, switching on the screensaver with the mouse should be easy. My magic mouse isn't acting up. you need to actually leave the mouse pointer in the corner for about a second for the hot corner to kick in. so if you simply place the cursor in the edge of the screen, then let go of the mouse this should work.
if it doesn't, I would guess it's rather an issue with your hot corners or something than with your mouse or you might wanna get your mouse checked out. is it working correctly besides for the screensaver?

thirdly: it might suit your needs better if you let your mac go to sleep instead of switching the screensaver on. this is just a suggestion, as for sleep to end you need to actually click the mouse, not just move it, and it's pretty much the same as the screensaver except you don't use energy.
