Waking up from sleep on its own

I just changed monitors and hooked up an older Apple Cinema Display to my MacPro. Now, every time I put it to sleep, it wakes up on its own within 30 seconds. This did not occur with my last monitor.
I'd like to be able to use the sleep mode.

Any clues, tips?
