Cant get Iphone to turn back on

My phone was charged and just stuff off, and now I cant it to turn back on, and will not charge either...help?

Can you restore?

I have tried the reset, if that means holding down the power button...nothing happens. The link did not work, how do you restore?

No, a reset requires that you hold the power and home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears (keep holding past the swipe to turn off). Then let both buttons go and the phone will restart [hopefully]
