import sweep panorama files into iMovie

I have several sweep panorama files on my Sony DSC-W350 digital camera. When I play them on the camera they are live video - but upon importing them into iPhoto they become still photos. Maybe I could import them into iMovie to have them saved as live video. I do not know how to import the files directly to iMovie. Any suggestions?
